Safeguarding
Our Designated Senior Lead for Child Protection is Debbie Torpey (above left)
Our Deputy Lead for Child Protection is Jo Palfrey (above right)
Our Governor for Safeguarding is Sarah Giles
Our school community has a duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of all children. This means that we have Safeguarding policies and procedures in place. All staff are aware of our procedures and receive appropriate training. Parents and carers can read our guidelines on our school website, or request a leaflet from the school office.
Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will always ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with their parents/carers first unless we have reason to believe that this is not in the child’s best interests or a child is at significant risk or in immediate danger.
Prevent Duty
All schools have a duty to protect children at risk of radicalisation. The following document is a statement of our Prevent Duty.
